The practice has acted as architects for clients throughout the United Kingdom and in many parts of the world. We draw upon this long tradition finding inspiration through the continuity and diversity of client and project.
The firm was first established in 1883 by Oliver Essex. He opened his first office at Newhall Chambers Birmingham. John Goodman joined the office in 1895 and John Suggitt in 1926.
